Windows 10: Windows 11 processor list is BS

My processor in me Dell XPS is an INTEL CORE i7-7700 @4.2HGz, 4200 Mhz, 4 cores. This is DEFINATELLY good to run Windows 11 but it falls tight in between in the "list" and says I cannot upgrade. I need an explanation WHY there are so many other slower, cheaper, less powerful processors that ARE listed and ok to upgrade to Windows 11 when mine is not. I dont want to force the upgrade even thought I know it would be fine.

Is the current Windows 11 Processor List final or will Microsoft add to the list? The current list is omitting processors that were delivered on machines within the past 2 years.

Hi! I was hoping to get Windows 11 on my Dell Laptop with a Intel Core i7, but PC Health Check app says my processor is incompatible. I checked the compatible Processor list for Win11, and it had other Intel i7's. is there a chance the list might be updated with other processors?

I'm afraid not. Microsoft has indicated that the list of compatible processors is final.

Microsoft does not recommend installing Windows 11 on computers that are not supported. Your device may malfunction due to compatibility or other issues.

I also suggest that you contact your computer manufacturer to see if you can upgrade your computer's processor to be compatible with Windows 11.
