Windows 10: Windows 11 product key not readable and cant activate windows

I purchased a new desktop and was supplied a physical card with a DVD and product key. When scratching the panel I must have scratched too hard and part of the key is not readable and I cant activate windows. I have the card with other numbers on the front, how can I recover the activation key?

Activation Product Key not readable

We have an industrial pc that came with Windows 10 PRO for OEM software.

It had a "Windows" sticker that required scratching off coating to be able to read product key.

After scratching off code, some of the numbers are not readable so I'm unable to activate the product.

How do I go about getting the key or getting a replacement?

Windows 8.1 pro + WMC key activation

This worked for me last time with a Win 8 key.

Install Windows 8.1 and enter KMS key during setup. Once in windows change product key to my Windows 8 key. Go to add features and enter my WMC add-on key. Drink a beer to a job well done.

 

Windows 10 product keys and activation - and the KMS angle

Changing the product key to the generic Windows 10 product key will reset activation to the standard retail channel for activation. It might just activate (if there was a previous digital license for Windows 10 for that computer established with Microsoft). Once Windows 10 is back on the retail activation channel, then more than likely changing the product key to the Windows 8 product key using the same method may work.
