    Windows 11 pseudo-shuts down after being idle


    I recently decided to upgrade to Windows 11 after having an issue with Windows 10 as described in another user's post here. After installing Windows 11 on a newly wiped hard drive, the issue persists as well as randomly shutting down. Sometimes it will go hours without having a malfunction and others I will leave the room and it will be off. If I move the mouse, the computer boots back up and shows the bios screen without me having to hit the power button. I have done what others have suggested and used SFC Scannow, altered power settings, and changed sleep behavior. My computer does not have

    Computer shuts down when idle

    You're getting a little closer to finding the rogue program. It not only shuts down Windows when idle but it also interferes with msconfig. The next step is obvious: Run msconfig while in Safe Mode.

    PC shuts down after being idle for few mins in Windows 10.

    set monitor and hd to turn off in 60 minutes. if computer is idle for just a few minutes they shut down . any suggestions? this never happened with windows 7 pro

    Windows 10 shutting down at idle

    My computer shuts down when left idle for 3 minutes or so. I have set all the settings to NEVER turn off. It still does. I can be working on something and thinking, then I have to log back in to continue. This is very frustrating. I have tried all
    the suggestions on resetting the power settings. Can you help?
