Windows 10: Windows 11 random freezing/hanging, forcing hard reset

Hi,I keep getting random freezes followed by the computer becoming extremly slow and hanging with programs not reacting anymore, i have to hard reset my computer everytime. I have the Bios and all other drivers up date and even did a windows reinstall already. I recently upgraded most parts of my PC with brand new parts (motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM... basically everything except the PSU, two storage drives, and the peripherals), and also installed Windows 11 on it. Since then, I've had random system hang-ups that have impeded a lot of my work.

When it happens, basically my PC will stop responding to most mouse clicks. I'll be able to move the cursor, scroll and click on things, but clicking buttons (like trying to hit the "End Task" button in the task manager) won't do anything and I'm forced to hard reset. It has happened several times when I've been working in Photoshop CC (latest version), but it has happened once when I was simply trying to change the audio settings without Photoshop open.

The worst part is, sometimes the freezes will revert my Photoshop back to its default settings, and I'll lose all my swatches, actions, brushes, everything, and I'll have to redo everything to get them all back.

I've tried to troubleshoot this issue by Googling answers to everyone else having the same issue, and everything I've tried still causes the computer to freeze randomly. I thought the latest update today, which was supposed to fix issues with Windows 11 for people with AMD CPUs, would help, but it started randomly freezing once again. I upgraded my PC so I could create art in Photoshop without a problem, so this is incredibly frustrating.

Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

After making the original post, I had another system hang-up while I had Steam open. I wasn't doing anything with Steam, I just had it open and was idling, when it froze/went unresponsive again, resulting in another hard reset. Since then, I've downloaded the latest AMD Chipset driver since I read that also seemed to be affecting AMD PCs with Windows 11 installed. So far, no hang-ups, but I've been too paranoid to do any activity that's even the slightest memory-intensive so far.

Wanted to give an update: after almost 2 days of being on the PC (and 1 day where I was working in Photoshop for many consecutive hours), I have experienced no hang-ups or freezes. At two points, I did experience some lagging in Photoshop, the type that used to signal the dreaded freezing/hang-ups I was experiencing before, and my heart sank. But to my relief, it was just the program lagging; I was able to safely restart the app from my desktop instead of needing to hard restart my entire system.

I think at this point it's safe to say that NZXT CAM really was the culprit for all my woes.

Thanks again auggy for all your help. If you hadn't pointed out that error, I wouldn't have been able to find the threads about NZXT CAM. I would've never guessed that a CPU monitoring software would be causing me all these problems and might've had to go thru the headache of clean installing Windows again (plus all my apps) or updating my BIOS. Here's hoping NZXT fixes the issue soon in their stable build, so I can go back to controlling my AIO. Maybe this will help someone else in the future before they fall down the troubleshooting sinkhole that I was in.
