Windows 10: Windows 11 randomly hibernating and won’t wake up. Tried everything! New build

New build intel i7 Asus mb ssd try this with disk drive got worse as time goes by. Swapped yesterday to ssd and a new clean install, ran all day not an issue! Started up this am and the problem is back it will shut down but the power light will stay on will not restart until you press and hold the off button and light goes off. Then you have to wait ten minutes to restart. I have tried ALL the internet fixes! It stayed on this am for awhile till I started using the browser?

Windows 10 new computer wakes from hibernate randomly. Here's a list of things I've tried to fix it.

I have a brand new PC with a fresh Windows 10 Pro install. The computer randomly wakes from hibernation. This occurs about 20 minutes after I hibernate it.

Here are the things I've tried:

1. Edit the registry Key hkey_local_machine\software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon and modify PowerdownAfterShutdown to 1. This did not fix it.
2. Disabled “Allow wake timers” in advanced power settings. Did not fix it.
   
3. Confirmed that my wifi network adapter is not allowed to wake the computer.
   
4. Opened the Reboot properties in Task Schedule as administrator and tried to disable "Wake the computer to run this task." I got an error which prevented me from saving the change.
   
5. Checked wake timers in the administrator command prompt. "C:\Windows\system32>powercfg /waketimers There are no active wake timers in the system."
   

Any other suggestions?

Windows and all drivers are up to date.

 

Windows 10 randomly waking from hibernation

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: Stop the Network from Waking Your PC

a. Press Windows key + X and select
Device Manager.

b. In Device Manager, under
Network Adapter, Right click and select properties.

c. Go to the Power Management tab. uncheck the box that says: "allow computer to turn off this device to save power".

d. you'll find an “Allow this device to wake the computer” check box, which you should uncheck.

Step2: Run the
Power troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with power. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Power.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
• Run the Power troubleshooter.

S4 (hibernation) USB/network wake up

Hi,

I have this annoying problem. When my computer enters the S4 powerstate (hibernation) I can wake it up by just clicking with the mouse. Even when EuP is enabled the mouse can still wake up the computer. After a night of sleep I find the computer powered on. So not only can the mouse wake up the system, it also seems that network traffic can too.

I thought that hibernation was like power off but with the option to save the RAM to disk. At least before I always need to push the power button to boot after hibernation.

Any suggestions?
