Windows 10: Windows 11 RDP Audio Not Working

Hello, I have a small home network with a few PCs on it. My main PC is a Windows 11 Pro 2H22 Desktop PC. On my network I have a second DT running Windows 10 Pro. If I remote into the Windows 10 Pro PC my remote audio works great. Full duplex, audio, microphone, the works. I am able to do so in both the intregrated RDP client and the MS Store client. No problems.I recently added a new notebook on the network all over ethernet BTW. It's also running Windows 11 Pro 2H22. When I remote into that PC - no audio. It sort of looks like the microphone is working but no playback on the main PC.I read

Windows 11 RDP Audio Not Working

I recently added a new notebook on the network (all over ethernet BTW). It's also running Windows 11 Pro 2H22. When I remote into that PC - no audio. It sort of looks like the microphone is working but no playback on the main PC.

I read a lot of sites, ran all the gpedit fixes and restarted the services on both PCs. I've checked the mixers and enabled the options to share devices. I've checked the registry and rebooted both PCs. I also tried forcing the sessions to TCP (though I'm not sure how to tell if that worked or if it's using UDP).

Any other suggestions on a fix?

 

Audio is not working in RDP

I upgraded last night from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Pro.
I am connecting from work with RDP to my home PC. RDP is Working, but there is no Audio.
This is an existing connection that worked yesterday when both PC had Windows 7 on them.
I have checked group policy on the server and it allows audio redirection. On client it is setup to bring audio to remote pc as it has always been. Client is with updated rdp client to allow protocol 8.1 with remotefx.
I don't have another pc with Windows 10 to check if this is some incompatibility between Windows 7 as a client and Windows 10 as host. I did install the official Microsoft Remote Desktop Client for Android on my phone and tried with it, but the result is the same.
Is it only me or is this a known issue ?

 

Weird RDP behavior in Windows 11

Hi,

what's wrong with RDP in Windows 11? I've never had so many problems with RDP in all computers together, than now with one single Windows 11 PC. I have service PC, which is always on for RDP purposes, so I can login remotely from field. Upgraded it to Windows 11 and I regret decision.

What's happening?

Well, as I am always logged-in and have really gozillion of apps opened, I only lock computer, so I can work on those apps via RDP all the time. But now with Windows 11 it is not possible anymore:

• SOMETIMES I land in new profile, empty login, while my active login I can see under logged-in users and I CAN switch to this login.
  
• OTHER TIMES I land in new profile, empty login, and there's no sign of my business login, all apps are closed and it goes up to 100 f-words per minute, as I need to reopen all tasks again.
  
• But when I come back from field to this PC, I cannot login back to any session I opened via RDP, but can only login to empty login, and here goes opening all apps again and neighbors can hear my yelling
  

How can I switch back this stupid RDP behavior back to how it worked in Windows 10?
