Windows 11 - Real COM Port doesn't work but connected to virtual port it works

Hello! I'm trying to use a CH340 RS232 to USB cable to communicate with another device through my laptops COM port. After connecting the device to my laptop it also shows up in the device manager but it seems that I'm unable to open the COM port for communication I'm using LabVIEW but also tried using PuTTY. The weird thing is that it works when I connect my real COM port to a virtual one with Virtual Serial Port Driver and then select the virtual port in LabVIEW. Anybody had this problem or know what I could try?

    :)

    different port m4e doesn´t work

    Hi folks,

i am in trouble with our new two e90 phones.

we are sucessfully using m4e with different nokia e-series mobile devices. all devices use port 4433 on our firewall to get connection going to the exchange server. working well.

now we wanted to install two e90s. we imported the certificate, made settings in m4e but unfortunately we cant synchronize. it seems to be that m4e software on the phone does not like different ports. we don´t see any connections on the firewall when we try
to connect. establishing a connection through the webbrowser on the device works fine.

    our m4e version on the new phones is 2.5.5. S60 3.1 .

    any suggestions are appreciated!

    thanks 4 help!

    USB port not working

I have an HP Pavilion dv6604nr laptop. I have 3 USB ports, 2 located on the left side and one located on the right side near the power supply port. For some reason, one of the USB ports on the left hand side will not recognize anything that is plugged
into it. I have done all the steps and suggestions that is posted on this site, and still can't get it to work. The message I get is "The last USB device that was connected has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it." It shows in the Device Manager
as Unknown USB Device(Port Reset Failed). When I have a USB device plugged into the non-working port, it shows up in the Devices and Printers folder, but the device does not work. I am at my wits end. Can anyone help me or suggest any other things to try?
Oh, I am running Windows 10 pro.

Windows 11 - Real COM Port doesn't work but connected to virtual port it works

    USB port stopped working

I had a USB2 port on the front panel that was working for a year but then one day it was not. I uninstalled / installed the device via Control Panel for both of the USB Composite Device listings but it made no difference. I thought it may be a bad connection but everything looked OK. Both ports had power according to a USB digital voltmeter. On the motherboard I moved the cable going to the front panel from one of the USB 2.0 Headers to the other Header & everything worked. At least for a couple months. Now the same port on the front panel does not work again. So I uninstalled / installed both USB Composite Device listings but it made no difference. Under Properties it says they are working properly. In Control Panel I did not touch the USB controllers for either USB 3.0 listing or for the USB Printing Support. The port was working a few days ago but now it is not. The only thing that really happened lately was a Windows 10 Security Update that was installed on 10-27-2022. Could that have changed something? Anything is possible but it seems strange that the same front panel port stopped working no matter which mobo header is used. Could one of my USB thumb drives be going bad & when plugged in is shorting out something on the motherboard? Any ideas & suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
