Windows 11 rebooted and now nothing looks like my account - apps, files

I had an issue with an app. My computer was running slow and I tried to shut down some processes and the app that was trying to fix itself. When I restarted the computer it didn't want to log into my Local Account. I was able to do that but everything went back to a default. If I dig, I can find my files. I can find my installed apps but they don't open with all my information there. Like an email program wants me to sign up again. I don't seem to have a restore point but right now I'd just like to get my old account to open automatically and show me my stuff!Hope this makes sense. I'm at a lo

    :)

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown Windows 11 rebooted and now nothing looks like my account - apps, files :(

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

Blocked app is still playable, and doesn't look like it's staying blocked on the list

    Hi Courtney,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. Let me assist you.

    • Is the child account signed in as a local or a Microsoft user account?

I suggest you to check the Firewall settings on the system.

    Steps:-

    • Block the app from Recent Activity.
    • Press “Windows Key + X” and select Control Panel.
    • Go to System and Security and select Windows Firewall.
    • Click on “Allow an app through Windows Firewall”.
    • Select Firewall Settings and check the status of the app there.

Hope this information is helpful. Please do let us know if you need further assistance, we’ll be glad to assist you.
