Windows 11 "Remember each folder's view settings" missing in explorer options.

I have been extremely annoyed that Windows 11 won't remember my view settings for folders. I have tried all the options in the advance settings to have it be remembered but the option to Remember Settings is missing. Having to switch to detail view every time I view a folder is really disrupting my work flow.

Win10 Home - Explorer Will Not Remember Folder Settings

    Hello,

Just want to confirm you've already completed these steps:

    1) Open File Explorer, and go into the drive you want to apply these settings to.

    2) At the top of your explorer, select View, and List in the Layout section.

    3) Select Options at the far right in View

    4) Select the View Tab at the top, and select 'Apply to Folders'

This should all the changes you're after to all folders in this drive.

If you only want to change the view settings on particular folders without affecting the entirety of file explorer, select only a specific folder and follow the steps above.

If this doesn't resolve your issue, I will provide additional information.

    Googled "vista folder view settings".

    First hit:

If that one doesn't work, there are lots more on the list.
