  1. Windows 11 Removable Devices, cannot delete files.

I am the owner/administrator of my Windows 11 PC. I can no longer delete files from my removable devices - I used to be able to delete fine. I'm using Windows File Explorer. The properties on the files do not indicate "Read-Only". The properties on the device have this Read-Only attribute boxed in blue. Other devices will handle the media correctly and are not Read-Only. Windows 11, however, will not let me delete files - the option doesn't even show. I cannot even add files to the removable devices. This situation has changed over the last week.

    :)

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Windows 11 Removable Devices, cannot delete files. ;)
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

    Remove Devices

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues while removing the device from your Microsoft account as it keeps popping back after removing.

It could be possible that the device was using OneDrive with the same Microsoft account and that might be the reason you are able to see the device listed under your profile. I would suggest you to remove the device from OneDrive
    and see if that helps.

You can follow the steps to remove the device from OneDrive.

    1. Login to
      https://onedrive.live.com
      .
    2. Now on the left hand pane click on PC’s.
    3. Now click on the devices that are listed under PC’s and on the right hand side click on
      Remove PC.

If the issue persists, please get back to us with the results of the troubleshooting steps to assist you further.
