Windows 11 "Reserve battery level" warning is broken

Well, via the default settings, Windows 7/8/10/11 is supposed to do the following:10% Low: "Low battery" notification issued7% Reserve: "Critical battery" notification issued5% Empty: HibernationBut from one day, this totally broke; I see no notification AT ALL when the battery level hits the specified "reserve" level. Instead - on the "empty" level it gives a 1-second "critical battery" warning and hibernates immediately. My battery is working properly; and even everything in the control panel seems fine. But I can't fix this bug. Even some other people had explained this:https://superus

    :)

  2. no low battery warning windows 10

    Hi Ron,

Thank you for keeping us updated.

Windows warns you twice – once when your battery charge is low (usually 10%) and again when it's at a reserve level (usually 7%). If you don't have enough time to finish your work after seeing these warnings, you can increase the battery level at which you'll
be notified. This can be especially useful for older batteries, which might not have as much storage capacity. When your battery has almost run out of power (critical battery level), your laptop or tablet will turn off.

To change battery levels at which you're notified

    • Open Power Options by typing power options in search bar and click it.

    • On the Choose or customize a power plan page, tap or click
      Change plan settings
next to the plan you want to change.

    • On the Change settings for the plan page, tap or click Change advanced power settings.

    • On the Advanced settings tab, expand Battery, then depending on what you want to change, expand the
Low battery level, Reserve battery level or
      Critical battery level.

    • Tap or click Apply then OK when you’ve finished.

Note: You can't set the critical battery level below the minimum level set by your PC manufacturer.

    [*]
You can also change the shutdown actions (Sleep, Hibernate,
Shut down or Do nothing) associated with the low and critical battery levels.

Hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to reply in case you face any other issues with Windows in future.

    read here:

i think you have set it incorrectly.

the low battery-level must be higher than the critical level.

try this way. remember to set this in the described order. low level/ low level action

    critical level/critical level action!

Extending time between second low battery notification and hibernation

The ratio is 0.63 However a new power plan was delivered to my computer, probably from Windows Update.

It was probably due to what happened on my 5th day of using my laptop, following an unexpected shutdown from 2 weeks ago, when the laptop was attempting to hibernate whilst it had ran completely out of battery before it had the chance to fully hibernate, in the midst of lots of programs running at the same time (as well as a 2.4GHz wireless mouse).

The one on the right is what Windows Update gave me (within the last 2 days, most likely today). Before there was only one power plan. The only changes I had made was
    • Low battery level: 10% before and 15% after
    • Reserve battery level: 7% before and 10% after
    • Critical battery level: 5% before and after
I'll switch from the high performance plan to the balanced plan, to see if that helps, after a few weeks. Update: 2 weeks later
    • Low battery level: 17% (+2)
    • Reserve battery level: 14% (+4)
    • Critical battery level: 7% after (+2)
    Update: Another 2 weeks later
    • Low battery level: 19% before (+2)

Update: 1 week later (for when bluetooth is on)
    • Low battery level: 22% (no change)

22nd of January: 0.63 30th of April: 0.49 So it continually declines by approximately 0.14 every 4 months. The weird thing I've noticed is that the lower the current battery charge is, the faster the current charge gets depleted.
