Windows 10: Windows 11 Reset PC with new hard drives How to find and activate key

I bought a new PC and do not have access to my old PC, how do I find my activation key and transfer it to another PC. I bought the windows license full price for £100ish.

How to retrieve my Windows 11 Pro Activation Key

I bought a PC with Windows 11 Pro installed on it. The hard drive recently crashed and I have to install a new HD. However, I do not have the activation key. The PC is listed on my Microsoft Account. It did not have a sticker on the PC. I don't know why manufactures quit doing that? Anyway, I will install the new HD and install windows pro on it without activation. Please help me retrieve my activation code, so I can fully use Windows 11 Pro.

New Hard Drive for laptop, reinstall Windows 10, need a new activation key?

Hi all.

My laptop just got a SMART error for the hard drive, did some research, it seems that i need to get a new hard drive replaced.

Situation:

-Bought a laptop came with windows 8.

- upgrade to windows 10 through verification.

- DO not know the activation key

- I have downloaded a windows 10 image on my usb for boot up purposes. (from Microsoft)

Question:

Please advise the proper steps for reinstall the windows on my machine, would I be asked to provide the activation key?

- Should I reinstall windows 8 on my laptop and then do a upgrade?

or

- should I reinstall windows 10 and my laptop would be automatically activated.

Install Windows 10 on new hard drive.

Please be informed that you cannot install the activated Windows 10 on to the new hard disk.

If you are replacing the hard disk then you may get Windows 10 activation errors.

If you are purchasing a new hard disk then, you may have to install genuine Windows 7 (SP1)/8.1 to upgrade to Windows 10 to get Windows 10 activated.

I suggest you to run check disk on the hard drive to see if there are any corruptions.

Follow the below steps:

• Windows key + X, click Command Prompt (Admin).
• Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press
  ENTER:

chkdsk /f

Disclaimer: While performing check disk on the hard drive, if any bad sectors are found then check disk will try to repair that sector. Any data available on a bad sector might be lost.

Once Check Disk completes, boot the computer and then check.
