Windows 10: windows 11 resizes and moves open windows when I close the lid

    Recently when I reopen my laptop lid the windows I was using are moves and resized. This happens to explorer, firefox and outlook windows alike

    I tried that too -- none of these suggestions have helped. Windows are still resizing and moving to the upper left corner by simply closing and opening the lid. Note that this even happens to windows that are minimized at the time I close the lid.

    This sure seems like a bug in Windows -- surely other people are reporting the same problem?

    I ran a SFC and DISM. Neither of them found any problems at all. I'm still seeing all my windows resized and moved just from closing the lid and re-opening.

    After updating to the latest Windows 10 Creators version, simply closing and reopening the lid of my laptop (power setting is "do nothing") resizes all my windows and moves them all to the upper left corner. I've searched for previous reports of this problem
    (on previous versions of Win10), and I've tried all the suggested solutions (set scaling to 100%, update drivers, etc), but nothing has fixed it.

    I have a Lenovo Thinkpad 450s.
