On windows 10 devices I could have 2 individual gigabit nics and during large file transfers both nics would be used. Meaning that between 2 devices, with 2 gigabit nics I would achieve a transfer speed of 190ish MB/s transfer rates. On windows 11 this is no longer the case. Is there a way to turn this back on? I do not want to buy a 2.5gb switch as they are still very $$$ and run very hot with all kinds of issues. I ended up downgrading back to windows 10 and things went back to normal.

    :)

setup for load balancing NIC but don't understand why my TEAM won't enable

After teaming both NIC, the Virtual Team gets disabled by default and I can't enable it. Same for Adapter Fault Tolerance and Adaptive Load Balancing. https://postimg.org/image/fgslyc0m3/

Both adapters are seen as Inactive Status in the Team settings

memtest86+ : Difference between Round Robin and Sequential? Better?

    Good morning, folks:

I found this in the PassMark memtest86 manual (not memtest86+). As memtest86+ was a fork from an earlier version of memtest86, it may be the same:

    • Parallel - executes the memory tests on all CPUs concurrently, on a set of non-overlapping memory segments
    • Round Robin - only one CPU is running a test at any given time but cycles to the next CPU in a round robin fashion after every test
    • Sequential - only one CPU is running a test at any given time but cycles to the next CPU after a certain memory size has been tested by the CPU.
I'm wondering what the functional difference is between Round Robin and Sequential. They seem virtually the same.

I'm testing an old laptop that cannot sustain Parallel testing (too much heat). I want thorough testing, but prefer faster rather than slower. So, which is the next best choice: Round Robin or Sequential?

    Hi.

Round Robin. Seems a bit more balanced to me.
    If you like, run both.
