Windows 10: Windows 11 says my 2 HDDs is raid are offline when I plug in nvme SSD.

Hello all,I am having a problem where as soon as I plug in my new NVME SSD I got a crucial P3 Plus 500gb my 2 4tb hard drives in a raid say they are offline and failed. Plus Windows 11 does not detect them anymore. As soon as I unplug the SSD and restart the HDDs show up in explorer and the raidxpert2 software shows they are online and working.PC SPECS:Asus rog strix B550-f Gaming Wifi first genAMD ryzen 5600 CPUIntel arc a75032gb of 3200mhz silicon powerSaberent 1tb gen4 main drive that windows is installed on2x 4tb HDD in AMD hardware raidthe new drive crucial P3 Plus 500gb

Can you do a Raid backup from the boot drive which is m.2 NVME SSD to the raid backup drive which is a SATA 3 SSD(2.5")?

Can you do a Raid backup from the boot drive which is m.2 NVME SSD to the raid backup drive which is a SATA 3 SSD(2.5")? They will both be 1tb, but will it work due to one drive being a M.2 NVME and one being a SATA 3 SSD (2.5")? Will be using AMD Ryzen 5 5600g and windows 10 or 11.

@essenbe - thanks for the video - it was pretty much the same instructions I had - with the addition of the d/l folder - I installed the drivers as suggested - ended up with the below pic - Drive 2 - unallocated space is the RAID drvie - out of frustration I decided to format the drive and when it finished the "can't install" deal was still there - again out of frustration - I hit NEXT and Windows installed to the drive <- Good News/Bad News -> Windows will not boot and the drive is not listed under boot options - BUT - progress is being made -break time - *Confused

 

New Windows install on SSD - Raid HDD Question

Hi,

I had an issue with my boot drive in Windows 10 which ultimately resulted in me having to format and re-install windows on my SSD.

Before doing so I unplugged my 3 HDD which are configured in a RAID configuration. Because the OS was on the SSD, I didnt want to have any risk of losing my data from my HDDs, hence remvoing these before formating the SSD
and reinstalling Windows 10.

Windows 10 is now fully operational, but I havent installed my HDDs yet.

The question I have – can I simply plug my HDDs and Windows will recodgnise they are part of a RAID setup, or do I need to do some configuration on Windows to recognise the HDDs? I dont want to run the risk of losing any
of the data on the HDDs, hence I havent plugged these in yet until I know how to go about it.
