  1. Windows 11 Screen dims or brightens depending on how white or black the screen is

I'm using Windows 11 24H2 and I use the dark mode display due to bright white/light screens hurting my eyes. However, when bright windows/white color windows take up most of the screen, it seems to make my brightness flare up really bright, and when there's mostly dark windows on my monitor, the brightness goes back down like there's a screen dimmer that activates. I have an LG 49" UltraGear DQHD Curved Gaming Monitor driver version 10.0.26100.1882 date 6/21/2006 but I can't find any adaptive brightness or other settings on the monitor using the joystick when selecting different settings th

  2. Screen changing brightens depending on how white or black the screen is

    Hi Microsoft Community,

This is my first post and I would like to make it short and clear, but it will be hard Windows 11 Screen dims or brightens depending on how white or black the screen is :)

I have a almost the same problem as person from Screen dims or brightens depending on how white or black the screen is - Microsoft Community

I have computer Dell Latitude 5320, it has a screen sensor which changing the brightness of the screen depending what do you open. If you open something white e.x. Word blank sheet or Excel blank sheet, the screen goes whither and if you open something darker, the screen goes darker.

There is no "Change brightness automatically when lighting changes" box in Display setting, but the sensor is working and we want to disable it.

Updated BIOS, updated whole drivers included Intel dynamic tuning driver - did not help.
Tried also multiple solutions from Enable or Disable Adaptive Brightness in Windows 10 | Tutorials (tenforums.com) Neither helped.
If I change the HZ rate from 60 to another, the same happens as well as with changing the Display Resolution.
The same problem with cable connected and on battery mode only.
Windows version is 10.0.19042 Build 19042

It seems like sensor is working and it is so annoying when it is changing, because I am as a User do not want it.
If I connect laptop to doc station or monitor, on monitor nothing is changing.

Trying hard to find a solution in Internet, but I think there is no one.

Please help Windows 11 Screen dims or brightens depending on how white or black the screen is :)

Screen dimming and brightening on its own.

My monitor seems to be dimming and brightening on its own. My system is a desktop with a monitor which is really a flatscreen tv.

Everytime I close out something the screen dims. When I open up something it brightens again but it may not stay bright. When doing MS Word it will dim and brighten as I do key strokes or scrolling.

Right now as I'm composing this thread, it is staying bright.

I just scrolled up to the top of the screen and it dimmed (looking for post button which I now see is below and not up).
