Windows 10: Windows 11, Screen dims when battery saver is on, but when I plug it in, it doesn't brighten.

I'm running Windows 11 Home Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000 on a brand new Gigabyte G5.When my battery reaches 20%, it goes into Battery Saver Mode and dims the screen to it's minimum.However, when I plug it in, the Battery Saver icon from the system tray grays out, but the screen doesn't automatically brighten. I have to do it manually.I'm running Windows 11 on another laptop, and the screen brightens when I plug that one in.Current Power Mode is Balanced.Thanks in advance.

Battery saver brigthness

I'm experiencing the same issue on the Lumia 1520 (AT&T) and 822 (Verizon). This is not limited to a small subset of handsets, evident by the discussions at

Battery Saver turns screen brightness to max

Instead of dimming the screen, the brightness is turned to the max brightness when battery saver mode switches on automatically. I don't see anywhere in the settings to adjust what the screen brightness gets set to when using battery saver, only a checkbox
to allow battery saver to change the screen brightness. How do I make the battery saver dim the screen instead of brighten it?

 

Screen randomly dims or brightens

My HP laptop recently started dimming or brightening randomly, while plugged in to charge. And for the past month my battery dies quickly with usage. I had to install a couple new apps, but they're through Microsoft store, and are off when not in use.
What is happening?
