Windows 10: Windows 11 screen still freezes after reinstalling Windows

Yesterday I did a reinstall of Windows 11 on my 3-year-old HP laptop Intel 10th generation after repeated screen freezing and BSOD during various activities email, browsing, or just computer idle. Screen, keyboard and mouse all freeze, only a hard restart works.Freezes had been happening since September 2023, increasing frequency. I had upgraded from Windows 10 to 11 in May.I thought the reinstall fixed the problem, but it just reoccurred during a Zoom call. Argh!Since reinstalling Windows 11, I had updated the Intel graphics driver, and redownloaded Microsoft Office. However no other devi

Friends computer freezing at windows loading screen

Ok my friend is having problems with his computer right now. Basically it crashed on the windows loading screen. This is what he told me on MSN.

Now i'm not too sure what the problem is. I suggested doing a repair install with the xp disk (i'll be giving him that tomorrow) but in the mean time do any of you have any ideas?

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Reinstall Windows?

You don't need to reinstall windows. Go to the device manager and remove uninstall the processor and motherboard drivers listed. When you start the system back up you should be able to re-install the new ones. I just changed my mobo/processor Friday, everything is fine.

BTW I have seen some reviews that state practically no difference in using more than 2gb of ram.
