Windows 10: Windows 11 Screensaver / Display Sleep functions not working

A few weeks ago, I can't remember exactly when it occurred my screensaver and display sleep functions just completely stopped working. I have tried every trick in the book. I have updated my BIOS and chipset drivers. Powercfg -requests shows an audio stream running from realtek, I tried overriding it but didn't solve anything. I confirmed every power option setting is correctly enabled. Basically I've spent extensive time googling and troubleshooting this to no avail. The one thing that did fix it was running the DISM restore commands in CMD Prompt, however, it only works temporarily for

Display goes to sleep

If all power option settings are set to Never, but your display still goes to sleep or turns off after a period of inactivity, it could be that the screensaver settings are turned on or configured to turn off the display. May we know if you have checked
the screensaver settings of your computer? If not, here's how to check the screensaver settings in Windows 10:

• Press the Start button, then type screensaver, then select it from the search results.
• See if the screensaver is enabled.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.

 

Display & computer sleep functions don't work with Windows 10, Build 1607

This is a desktop PC. After the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 (Build 1607) was downloaded, the sleep timer functions in Power Options, Balanced, no longer work. In Advanced Options, I have the following setttings:

• Turn off display after 5 minutes,
• Turn off hard drive after 20 minutes,
• PC goes to sleep after 30 minutes, and
• For Multimedia, I have selected "Allow computer to sleep" when sharing media.

With these settings, the display does not turn off and the desktop does not go into sleep mode. The display turns off, but then immediately comes back on. HELP!!!
