Windows 10: Windows 11 screensaver not working

Hi,With my old Windows 10 PC I used the "bubbles" screensaver to come on after 2 minutes. With my new Windows 11 PC I can't get the screensaver to work at all. When I go to the screensaver control panel and try to preview "bubbles" all I get is a black screen, but with "3D" and Mystify" I can preview both of these. However, when I click on "apply" to either of these nothing happens and my screen stays lit until I turn it off using the power switch.Any ideas how I can get the screensaver to work please?

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.

 

Windows 11 upgrade screensaver problem

Where are the results for the dozen-plus steps I gave you to try, and was waiting for results to be posted back so I know what else to suggest?

This is an interactive process. I give steps to perform, you do each one and then report back results until something works, so I know what to suggest next. If you need help performing any step, just ask back. But please do not skip any steps. We often find out the skipped step is the fix.

Screensaver is so dated I had to really dig to find those fixes, so to have them completely ignored is very discouraging. Can you go back to the top of the list and work through them now?

 

Screensaver not working after updated to Windows 10 Creators Update.

No change after following suggested steps. It works fine and then I get the message that it could not load that screensaver. Then it will work again for a few times and then decide not to work. A fix would be greatly appreciated since it does not come
out of the screen that says it could not load the screensaver easily.
