  1. Windows 11 search keeps popping up and stickykeys always turning on

I am beyond frustrated with Windows 11. If I hold any of the directional keys down, such as when playing a video game, the windows 11 search bar will pop up. It is extremely annoying. It does the same thing when I am scrolling through Chrome or on a webpage, and will continuously pop up the in-browser search bar when I am holding the down or up arrow key. I do not ever want it to perform this function. The other issue is stickykeys constantly turning on and changing the function of the keyboard. I have to hit shift 5 times every 10 minutes or so because the awful keyboard programing turns them

    StickyKeys keeps reactivating on reboot

I'm running the latest Win10 and I can't get StickyKeys to stay off. I can turn it off with control panel, but it always comes back on when I restart.

I've tried everything I can think of:

    Tried multiple keyboards, no help

changed other accessibility settings, only the keyboard related ones have problems

Booted and re-booted in Safe Mode, problem is still there

Created new user accounts, TWICE, problem is still there in each one

    Edited the registry values:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\StickyKeys]“Flags”=”506″

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\Keyboard Response]“Flags”=”122″

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\ToggleKeys]“Flags”=”58"

Nope that didn't help either, values changed back on restart and Stickykeys lives

Created a batch script and reg file to alter the registry automatically on startup, script made the change successfully but didn't fix the problem.

Repeated the previous two steps but with the registry values I recorded after manually disabling stickykeys, still no luck.

Ran SFC, virus scans, everything I can think of. No help

I'm at the end of my rope, I hate stickykeys and will never want it. I just need to get rid of it for good but i don't want to have to wipe my pc completely to get rid of it.

    StickyKeys keeps reactivating on reboot

I ultimately was able to uncover the problem. ACER apparently has a little program that manages hotkeys that gets installed at the factory. This program will always
enable stickykeys on startup unless to go in and check the "Disable StickyKeys" option within the ACER software. Even if you disable stickykeys through the control panel it will always reenable it unless it's disabled
    within the ACER software.

Can't Keep StickyKeys Turned On. (Problem with Syncing?)

It has always been the case that I had to manually enable StickKeys in order to be able to sign in on one of my computers.

That's by using either the key shortcut or the Ease of access option. I know the shortcut key method is only temporary, and guessing ease of access from log in screen is too.

I did try setting StickyKeys via Control Panel > Ease of Access Centre, which, according to my experience, means the feature is permanently on. It is on this machine (and every machine I've owned using Windows), but
not on a newer machine which, as a matter of fact, is set up using the same Microsoft Account credentials.

I've checked Settings for Syncing on this machine, and it appears syncing for Ease of Access always was enabled, yet StickyKeys was not enabled and not able to be properly enabled on a supposedly synced device. It's possible that using Ease of Access under
Windows Settings might've worked better than via Control Panel, but I don't see why syncing didn't do the job in the first place. It did sync "Theme", including Desktop image, and user Passwords as it happens.

This is not a solution, but a workaround I found was to reset (turn off, then on again) syncing for Ease of Access on this machine. Tested it by restarting the other one a couple of times, and StickyKeys does seem to be working properly now. For the time
    being, that is...

    Just, btw..

I've had some problems with syncing OneDrive too. Not sure if it might be related. Not sure if I've found a solution to it yet either.
