Windows 10: Windows 11 search not showing some apps

Discus and support Windows 11 search not showing some apps in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I ugraded from windows 10 to windows 11 two days ago and now I am facing a problem that whenever I search for some apps like word, excel etc they don't...     Windows 11 search not showing some apps


    I ugraded from windows 10 to windows 11 two days ago and now I am facing a problem that whenever I search for some apps like word, excel etc they don't appear there, to solve this problem I pasted shortcuts of some apps in this location - C:\Users\Santanu\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\ProgramsAfter this the search results for those apps were coming but then I found out there are many other apps too and it's really annoying if everytime i have to paste the shortcuts there, so i searched for some solutions on the internet and one them was to rebuild index so I tried that but it wa

    Type C and click on 'Apps' as I suggested (or just type apps: C ). Does CCleaner appear anywhere in the full scrollable list of 'apps: C' search results?

    Windows 11 search not showing some apps

    Certain apps don't show in search results

    Some of my applications don't show in search results when I search for them.

    E.g. Visual Studio, it shows only a local directory named "Visual Studio 2017" but it doensn't show the application itself.

    Some other applications are listed as wrong version (already uninstalled), and some others dont't show at all (e.g. Putty)

    I've already rebuilt the index and ran sfc /scannow several times, and got shortcuts for the apps in both

    • %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
    and

    • %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

    I'm running Windows 10 Pro Version 1607 (Build 14393.1358)

    Any suggestions?
