  1. Windows 11 security issues - I can't change a read only folder permission and it snowballed...

Hello,I recently upgraded from Windows 10 to 11 running Windows 11 Pro, Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631. I also have Norton active. Things were fine until I ran into something small, which just snowballed. Here's what happened:- in iTunes, I realized I wasn't able to add artwork to an album. I went to the mp3 itself and noticed I wasn't able to change any metadata in the Properties.- I noticed that the folder in which this file was located was marked as Read Only, so I changed it and asked to apply it to all files, subfolders, etc- But then when I went back, even though I just said to disable

    :)

    Windows folder security.

Is there a way to disable ALL windows security on folders? I'm using Windows 7 and trying to replace some system files that may be currupt and I get the "You need permission..." bitching from Windows. I know I can take ownership of the folder through the security tab but it's getting REALLY old having to do this for each and every file and folder I'm trying to overwrite. *Bang Head :banghead:

I'm the administrator for christ sake. If I want to open my drive and take a crap in it, do I need permission from Microsoft?
