Windows 10: windows 11 - selection to view only PDF files in documents not staying, reverts back to all

I go into my document folder. xxxxxx - Personal > DocumentsI click on dropdown arrow for "Type" and select "Text Document". xxxxxx - Personal > Documents > Text DocumentI click on what I want to open, then lose the "Text Document", goes back to viewing all files. goes from xxxxxx - Personal > Documents > Text Document to xxxxxx - Personal > Documents after I use the enter key.

Regarding your PDF documents, the location will be based on where you saved the files. For your second inquiry, your documents can be converted to a PDF. If the original file is from Office Word, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

  In Word, select File > Save As.
  
• 
  Select where you want to save the file.
  
• 
  Type a new File name if you want.
  
• 
  For Save as type, select PDF.
  
• 
  For Optimize for, select an option: Standard or
  Minimum Size.
  
• 
  Select Open File After Publishing, if you want to open the file after you save it as a PDF. This is selected by default.
  
• 
  Select Save.

File selection lost continuously

  Are you trying to access detail pane under view tab or right click on the file and select properties and details?
  
• 
  What are the steps you have followed to open the details view?
  

I would suggest you open the folder which contains PDF files and click on view and check details pane and check if you are able to get the details view.

Microsoft PDF Document Writer not appear
