Windows 10: Windows 11 sending DHCP release to server but server doesn't process it, Windows 10 client...

I have an issue where Windows 11 Education 24H2 clients and DHCP release being processed properly. When I do an ipconfig /release the client gives up it's lease as expected. I can verify all the DHCP lease traffic using Wiresharkon the client and runnig a tcpdump on the DHCP server to see that the release packet does in fact make it to the DHCP server.When I ten look at the active lease table on the server the lease is still present and it also remains in the DHCP database, I have to manually delete the lease from the active lease table and then it will also leave the database.Whe I do the exa

How to configure radius for DHCP Server in windows server 2012?

I am trying to configure radius with dhcp.Already installed a dhcp server in windows server 2012. Does dhcp is required to be authorized .For now,it is not authorized.Also,installed NPS role in another server 2012. How to configure radius for dhcp?

Please guide with the detailed steps.

 

Windows Server Backups for Windows 11 Client

I use Windows Server 2012R2 to back up my various desktops and laptops. I've used the Windows Server 2012 Essentials Client Connector on the various Windows platforms I've had - all Windows 10. I just updated a PC to Windows 11. I was able to install the Client Connector and launch the Essentials Dashboard to monitor the Windows Server 2012 machine. The problem is that the server doesn't see the Windows 11 Client. Windows Server 2012 is not quite EOL yet, so I would think connectivity for current platforms would still exist? Also, I haven't found anything regarding Windows 11 Clients for later versions of Windows Server (2016, 2019).

Are there options to use Windows Server 2012 (or later versions) to backup Windows 11 clients?

 

Dhcp SuperScope Loadbalancing Windows server 2008 r2

Hi All,

Is there any way to do load balancing in DHCP Super Scope in Windows server 2008 R2 server.

Like in superscope we have two socops (scope 1 & Scope 2) we want 50% clients took ip from scope 1 and 50% client took ip from scope 2.

Is this feasible , please suggest.
