Windows 10: Windows 11 shows buttons 13-16 on my xbox elite controller but I can't seem to map the...

I was just given an xbox elite controller series 2 and was excited at the possibility of having four extra buttons. I am not looking for macros or auto fire or any crazy automation. Just the ability to assign these four buttons to different mappings in game. My HOTAS setup has nearly 30 buttons which all get recognized independently when plugged in, my mouse has 10 buttons that all show up as mappable, windows 11 controller properties shows me buttons 13 through 16, but for the life of me I can't get the controller to trigger them. What is wrong with this damn thing?

Xbox Elite controller cannot connect on Windows 10 (bluetooth)

I'm not able to connect my XBox Elite Controller to Windows 10 through blue tooth.

There is no problem with the regular Xbox controller, it finds and pairs immediately.

The controller is updated.

I have tried all the steps / suggestions I can find - but the controller still does not show in blue tooth. (I tried 'show invisible' in device manager, but it doesn't show there).

Of course the controller works, no problem paring on my xbox.

Any suggestions what to try next ?

 

Xbox Elite Controller Buttons/Paddles Mapped to Keyboard Keys?

Hi,

There is no option to map buttons or triggers to keyboard keys on the xbox accessories app for my xbox elite controller. is there a way that this con be done?

That means any game that doesn't already support controllers or buttons programmed to the standard buttons you cant add to the paddles on the back. this seems like a really bad design choice and something that can be easily added.

Any help would be great.
