Windows 10: Windows 11 shows wrong iGPU's dedicated VRAM and Hardware reserved memory

I did set in UEFI BIOS that iGP's VRAM is 512MB. Firstly, it still received and showed that iGPU's VRAM was 512MB and Hardware reserved memory was around 600MB.Recently, it has shown that my iGP's VRAM is 2GB and Hardware reserved memory is 2,1GB. So how can I fix this without resetting or reinstalling Windows or changing BIOS version? I tried resetting/reconfiguring BIOS settings saved obviously; restarting/updating Windows to the latest version; reinstalling drivers but it hasn't been fixed. Also, my iGPU's performance between 512MB VRAM and 2GB one is no difference.My PC specifications: -

Increasing dedicated vram

Some Intel iGPUs show a 128MB dedicated VRAM for the games to think that there's some dedicated VRAM to run. To my knowledge there is no iGPU with 1GB of VRAM. You must be mistaking the shared memory with the VRAM.

As others have pointed out, VRAM can't be changed for Intel iGPUs.

Could you please tell us the hardware specifications of your PC?

 

What exactly does 'Hardware Reserved" memory do?

Hardware reserved memory is reserved by a hardware device, usually the graphics adapter.

Known as VRAM this RAM can not be decreased but sometimes can be increased if needed for graphics performance as shown here:

In a computer system, the "Hardware Reserved" memory refers to the portion of system memory that is set aside by the hardware and is not available for general use by the operating system or applications. This memory is typically reserved for system firmware, device drivers, and other hardware components that require direct access to memory.

You can view also the amount of hardware reserved memory on your Windows 11 system by opening the Task Manager and selecting the "Performance" tab, then clicking on "Memory" on the left-hand side. The hardware reserved memory value should be listed under the "In Use (Compressed)" section.

Dedicated, virtual and shared video memory

I trust GPU-Z .

Dedicated GPUs have dedicated VRAM and dynamically allocated in system RAM when dedicated VRAM is not enough . Transfers are done via PCI-E interface . iGPUs have only dynamically allocated sys RAM . I have heard Intel is gonna roll out a chip with dedicated
VRAM along with Radeon iGPU

My guess is :

GTX 960M 2GB dedicated VRAM + 2GB shared/dynamically allocated in sys RAM
