Windows 10: Windows 11 shuts down while I'm working

Windows 11 home, os build 22621.3296My laptop has been shutting down by itself while I'm in the middle of working. Yesterday, it did it twice! It's been going on for a few months, and it usually happens once very couple of weeks. These are full shut downs, not restarts. I haven't installed new apps or anything but something could have updated itself. The first few times, I noticed it updated the bios when I try to turn it back on. However, the first time it happened yesterday, it went through a regular system update, no bios. The second time, it was just completely random. A shut down with no

Shift+M does not work

Hi Dave, I've tried both suggestions and neither have worked. For the second suggestion, it showed multiple keyboards listed all of which were named "HID Keyboard device". I am also running windows 11.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet Explorer. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Explorer.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Explorer performance troubleshooter
