Windows 10: Windows 11 - Sign in to sync app experiences - What exactly is this?

Often I have to sign back into my Microsoft account on Windows when I open my laptop or put it to sleep and wake it up, I'm wondering what these "app experiences" mean and what exactly I'm syncing.Does it only allow me to continue to use apps on other devices logged into my Microsoft account from where I left off? How exactly does it "continue" app experiences? Which apps are affected by this, does it just open up certain apps I had opened and show the exact same state that it was in while it was still open? What if I close the app, will it sync?

Email will not sync in Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the Mailbox sync settings.

• 
  Open the Mail app and sign in to your account.
  
• 
  Click on the gear icon (Settings) from the bottom left corner.
  
• 
  Click on the Accounts under
  Settings.
  
• 
  Click on your account.
  
• 
  Click on the Change mailbox sync settings and check in the
  Sync options.

Both Calendar and Mail App in Windows 10 didn't Sync Accounts from App in Windows 8.1

Step 1: I suggest you to follow the below steps to
change the Mailbox sync settings.

• Open the Mail app and sign in to your account.
• Click on the gear icon (Settings) from the bottom left corner.
• Click on the Accounts under
  Settings.
• Click on your account and select Change settings.
• Click on the Change mailbox sync settings and check in the
  Sync options.

If the issue still then try the below,

Step 2: I suggest you to run the
Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.

Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter,
troubleshoots problems that may prevent Windows Store Apps from working correctly.

Follow the below steps:

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar on the
  Taskbar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Windows Store Apps.
• Select “Advance” and click on “Run as Administrator”.
• Click “Next” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
