Windows 10: Windows 11 single version chinese change language to english or upgrade

Hello, I bought a laptop in China, I am struggling to be able to change the language of my system. I don't understand a lot of Chinese, so I want to change the language of display of windows, but I haven't been able to do so. QuestionsI am obligated to buy windows 11 pro? If I want to change the language?If I buy the key of windows 11 pro in china, will I be a able to change the language? What happens for example if I go to another country and buy a key there will it work?

Upgrade China laptop from single-language Chinese Windows 11 home to English (with no residual Chinese, eg for system messages, etc)

I live in China and plan to buy a new laptop computer. It will have Windows 11 home, single-language (chinese). What is the best way to change this so that I just have English?

I believe a partial solution would be to do an on-line upgrade. Very likely this will have to be from a Chinese microsoft site to Windows 11 Pro chinese version (or is it possible to directly upgrade to a different language version of Windows?) and then I could change the language display to English. However, I also believe that this would not be a complete solution. I did something very similar to this about 10 years ago and while most of the language was in English there were still a lot of system and control panel messages that were in Chinese.

Any informed advice would be welcome.

I realize your concern. Let me help you with this issue.

Before proceeding further, please answers few queries.

1. Was your pervious Windows 8.1 OS came with a Single Language pack and was it in the English Language?

2. Did you check if the Chinese language pack is installed on your system? If you find the Chinese language pack installed then try to uninstall.



If it is a single language pack, then please be informed that, you cannot change the language in the OS.



I would suggest you to try the steps, if you haven't tried before.

1. Press Windows + X key in the Windows desktop and click
Control Panel.

2. Open Language.

3. Click on Add a Language and then select a desired language (Example: English) and click Open.

4. Now select a Language (Example: English (United States).



Note: Once you are done with setting the desired language, restart the computer and check.
