    Windows 11 slow boot ~ 15 min and shutdown 1 hour +


    Windows 11 home 23H2; 22631.3672; Experience Pack 1000.22700.1009.0. Acer Aspire TC-1750The PC takes long time to boot, about 2 min till beep and Bios menu disappear, and then about 10 min or more till asking for PIN. When the PIN is entered, desktop appears immediately and the pc works normally, at least as I can tell.When shutting down from Start menu it takes about an hour or more to actually power it off. I never had enough patience to time it.Those symptoms started when I tried to install Windows Mobile Device Center WMDC with Juniper updates as I wanted to get access to an old HP iP

    windows 10 slow boot

    I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

    I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

    In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.
