Windows 11 - Sound gradually increasing rather than starting at full volume first playback

Okay, this is a really weird issue - I just got a new PC with windows 11 installed. I think I've cleaned up all the pre-installed software but I can't be completely sure.Anyway, occasionally when i start a new video or music file the sound will start at 0% and gradually increase to 100% over the span of 1-2 seconds. This happens in several programs Even windows own volume tester. If I start the video or sound file over, the sound will behave like normal.I've used the audio troubleshooter and disabled enhanced audio as it prompted me to but it did nothing.Any ideas what could be causing this s

    :)

Latest Windows Update removed headset from sound Playback list

    Welcome to tenforums.
Agreed, this change by MS has been noted elsewhere.
Further, win key + s, sound does not find it, nor does playback.

    Suggestions:
    a. Use Open Shell Start menu (free). Searching for Sound finds it easily.
    b. Use 3rd party utility Volume2 - (e.g lets you control volume by scrolling when hovering over taskbar + mute with middle button and more). Free, well thought out.

Rt click the tray icon, option Playback Devices opens the Sound dialogue.
    c. Create your own shortcut - and put it in the Start Menu

No sound after Windows 10 Update 11/3/2017

Just as the title suggests, I have no sound. I have gone through all the basic troubleshooting steps that one would think could be plausible. Like checking my volume mixer, making sure nothing is set to 0. Like checking if my correct playback device was selected and on default. Nothing is working, yet everything was perfectly fine last night on 11/2/2017 before I updated and shut my PC down for the night. What's weird is that my playback device acts like the volume is working anyway, showing a healthy green bar when I play a YouTube video. I have attached an image to showcase this.

As you can see, I use a Creative Sound Blaster Z external Sound Card for all my audio needs. There is no new update for my sound card by the way. Please, someone help me. I have already rebooted/shut down to see if that would fix it, but nothing is working.
