Windows 11 SSD disappeared from Bios Bootsequence

I have bought a windows 11 computer, 6 months ago. I placed a ssd from my old w10 computer in as storage and removed therefor w10 from the ssdThe bootsequence changed to this storage ssd, I guess because of the System Required protected partition, still there. I wend into the bios and changed the bios boot sequence back to the windows 11 ssd. Now, 6 months later, suddenly windows crashed on startup. Uefi wasn't able to start windows but kept looping over seemingly different Uefi, 4, mac, 6. I forced a shutdown, but to my surprise, it made a restart and started looping again. After many tries

    Disappearing SSD Syndrome

Thank you for the information. I have built a new system, and am struggling with a disappearing SSD.

Q: Do you have any suggestions for dealing with a disappearing SSD that is an M.2 device. That is, it doesn't have separate SATA data and power connection-- just the motherboard slot. I have a Plextor M6e SSD plugged in to the M.2 slot on an ASUS Z97 Deluxe 3.1 MB.

    Thank you for any comments.

    Regards,

    DG

    BIOS SSD Priority

I am going to change out my HDD to a SSD. Right now the BIOS does not have a SSD listed in the BIOS boot priority. Does the SSD show up in the BIOS after the SSD is plugged in? Or is there some command prompt that I can use to add SSD prior to plugging in the SSD?
