Windows 10: Windows 11 - SSD only running at 1 MB/s

I noticed that Steam is only installing games at 1.1 MB/s. I originally suspected my internet, but upon checking Task Manager, I discovered that my SSD is only running at 1.1 MB/s write speed. 1-2% of supposed write speed/capacity. I already ensured AHCI mode was on, tried disabling my onboard graphics card, checked the TRIM command, checked power throttling and performance settings and nothing has worked. Why is this happening? What can I do?

How do Install Windows 11 on a replacement SSD for my PC

I have a GEEKOM miniair 11 with a 256 MB ssd drive. I want to upgrade to a 1 TB SSD drive.

The 1 TB SSD has no OS. How do I get Windows 11 for my replacement drive? I only have one slot for the SSD. I read I cannot use an external USB connected hard drive cannot be used as a boot drive to reinstall Windows 11 on the new SSD. Any suggestions?

Well that's why I asked. Mine is on SSD and takes 11 seconds. Your list of games will not appear if it has not checkd for updated suggested settings for awhile until it checks.

When it says it is refreshing the game list, it is checking, because NVIDIA periodically updates suggested settings. Plus it will look for those for new games you have installed.

So, the less it is run, the slower it will be.

 

No Boot, Drives Not detected, Can't Load Win10 Pleses Help!

Until the BIOS sees your M.2, there's nothing you can do. It does not matter if the M.2 is unformatted/unallocated, the BIOS should see it.

1. Suggest that you take the M.2 out, clean all the contacts and re-seat it and hope this is the case.
2. If step one fails. Connect your 250GB SSD back in using one of the SATA port to see if the BIOS recognize it. If it doen't, then it might be something wrong with the MB, if it does then boot up the Windows Installation USB, run diskpart, shrink it at least 40GB then create a partition, Leave it unallocated then install Windows there.

Also try to re-seat all other components such as Memory, Video card etc...
