  2. Windows 10 Standard Calculator not using standard order of operations

    Hi,

We appreciate you for being part of Windows 10.

This issue may arise if you are using Standard calculator.

    Try the below steps:

    • Open the Calculator through Start menu.

    • Once you open, click on menu button (Three horizontal lines at top left corner).

    • Select Scientific calculator.

    • Now type 1+2*3, it will give the answer as 7.
Note: There will be different way of operations integrated into Standard and Scientific calculators.

Hope the above information helps. Kindly let us know if you need any further assistance with Windows. We are glad to assist you.

    Thank you.

Decimal point in Windows 10 Calculator (standard mode) doesn't work!!!!

My computer just upgraded itself from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. When using the calculator in Standard mode, hitting the "." key doesn't register on the calculator. In fact in Standard mode clicking the physical "." key or pushing the "." decimal point
button on the button on the calculator itself doesn't work!!!!

It works in scientific mode, but not standard mode. Someone fix this bug!!!!

  4. Windows 11 standard mode showing the calculation for 15000*10%=0.1

Need to be able to set my calculator to Statistic Mode. Can this calculator do that?

    Hi,

We have 4 modes in Windows 10 Calculator and can switch between Standard, Scientific, Programmer, and Converter modes.

    • Use Standard mode for basic math, Scientific for advanced calculations,
Programmer for binary code, and Converter for converting units of measurement.

    • To switch modes, select the Menu button (three lines at upper-left). When you switch, the current calculation is cleared, but
      History and Memory are saved.
    Thank you.
