Windows 11 suddenly inactivated, any way to reactivate it?

I got my PC back in July of 2024 and had it built by a local store that I trusted since they built my brothers PC as well. I also paid for it to have Windows 11 preinstalled by them, so safe to say I was confused when the "Activate Windows" watermark appeared in the corner of my screen. Literally came out of nowhere, was playing videogames, got off and then noticed it. I'm not exactly sure if I can get the product key since it was preinstalled so I'm lost. Doesn't help that I cant connect through phone to the store that built my PC. Really am just very confused, any help would be greatly appre

    :)

  2. Product Key Reactivation

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

Reactivating Windows 11 after retrieving the motherboard key involves using the original product key or digital license associated with your system.

Here are the steps to reactivate Windows 11:

    1. Open Settings:
      • Click on the Start button and select the gear icon to open "Settings."
    2. Navigate to Update & Security:
      • In the Settings menu, click on "Update & Security."
    3. Go to Activation:
      • In the left sidebar, select "Activation."
    4. Enter Product Key:
      • If you have a product key, click on "Change product key" and enter the key when prompted.
    5. Use Digital License:
      • If your Windows 11 was linked to your Microsoft account, you might see an option to troubleshoot and link your digital license. Click on this option and follow the prompts.
    6. Restart Your Computer:
      • After entering the product key or linking your digital license, restart your computer.
    7. Verification:
      • Go back to the Activation section in Settings to verify that Windows 11 is now activated.

    Windows Update suddenly hangs?

Windows Update is suddenly hanging for some reason... I went and downloaded and installed the first bunch of updates, restarted when asked, and now when I go back to windows update I just get the window with a white box forever. Reboot and it still does it. This happens to be on my main machine, running windows 7.

I've also noticed when I reboot it says configuring windows update, step 3 of 3, 47%. Maybe it somehow skipped something and is screwed forever?
