Windows 10: Windows 11 suddenly stopped accepting fingerprint and asks for pin

Windows 11 suddenly stopped accepting fingerprint and asks for pin which I never entered.I tried to reset the windows settings from WinRE but it started to ask for bitlocker key which I neverhad, and it doesn't exist in the windows account.Like really how windows does these changes and blocks everyone out of there computers!! So frustrating.Any fix for this issue, or should I just buy an Mac ?

Windows Hello prompt not asking for PIN or fingerprint for website login

On my new laptop with Windows 11, when trying to log in to a website that allows for Windows Hello PIN authentication the Hello popup does not give me the option to use a PIN or a fingerprint. Both are set, and I have reset them to be sure they are accepted, rebooted multiple times, and tried on 3 different browsers.

If I go back to my Windows 10 laptop and go through the same steps I am able to login with my PIN using Hello.

The only difference between the two laptops is that one is Windows 10 and the other is Windows 11. So I'm left to believe that this is a restriction on Windows 11.

Is this accurate? Does Windows 11 not allow you to authenticate on websites using fingerprint or PIN via Hello? Also, can this restriction be circumvented? I would like to avoid using an authenticator app if possible.

Cannot set up the fingerprint after sucessfully setting up the PIN

Not sure of the right one. I've foolishly allowed windows to automatically update itself, and now have this fingerprint / windows hello issue on my dell xps 9560. Was all working fine. Suddenly after last round of updates, got an error message, fingerprint
and pin stopped working.

Now if I try setup fingerprint first, it will scan the print, then ask for new pin. I enter the pin, and nothing happens, everything is reset.

If I try setup the pin first, it accepts the pin and I can use it to logon. But when I try setup the fingerprint, after entering my pin, I get a beeping sound and then nothing, it won't move to the process where it asks my to capture my fingerprint at different
angles.

Hugely, hugely annoying. Have had this machine two months and endless issues.
