Windows 10: Windows 11 Suddenly Stopped Recognizing TPM

Windows 11 Pro 21H2 Build 22000.795. Noticed that KB5015882 2022-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems refused repeatedly to install. But update did install KB5015732 2022-07 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 11 for x64. System began to slow and have unusual problems. Tried an in place upgrade, which told me I have no TPM! I was able to upgrade to Windows 11 prevised because I have a computer that is only 2 years old and had TPM properly enabled. BIOS settings remain the same: Discrete TPM, UEFI secure boot. Yet Windows now won't in

Yes, that is correct, Da. Adding a TPM chip would do.

When these requirements were announced, TPM prices shot up suddenly. I think they are now down.

Thanks for all of the replies and help. I really appreciate it.

After reviewing the CPU list, I think that is where my problem lies. My proc is not on it. When I was doing my previous research, I never read anything about the CPU, only the TPM and needing to enable Secure Boot. I also don't think that I have a counterfeit TPM. If so, I doubt the board would recognize it. I suppose that it's possible, but if the board see's and recognizes that module, then so should Windows, but it does not, so I'm pretty sure the TPM is good, it's just the CPU that is not compatible

So, it looks like I'm going to have to make a decision, on whether I want to upgrade or not. As of right now, I doubt it. If I upgrade, it won't be because of Windows 11, it'll be because my machine is underpowered, or Win10 doesn't support the apps that I install, not because I feel that I need the latest version of Windows.

Win 11 - TPM 2.0

The AMD Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics processor on my MSI B450 motherboard, is not on the Win 11 list due to the TPM 2.0 requirement. There is a 14 pin connector on the mother board to add a TPM module. Will adding a TPM 2.0 module to the motherboard meet the Win 11 requirement? Thank you.
