Windows 10: Windows 11 System account email now family a members after signing into mincraft how do I...

Just created a family account for may daughter to play mincraft, compliciated enough process. After signing her into the mincraft launcher it warned that the email for the microsoft store was different. Which is fine and correct because its mine. I closed that window without clicking anything. She played minecraft and went to bed. I sat down at my PC and i could not open a browser window because her account is now admin of the computer. Im still signed into microsoft store, xbox live etc, and its my login showing in the start menu! Just not in settings. OMG Microsoft what on earth have we done

broken "family member needs to sign in"

Parental controls stopped working. Family.Microsoft.com has alert: "Your family member needs to sign in to their Windows 10 device AngLaptop2014 for family features to work.

But the "how to fix this" says

• Select Accounts > Family & other people
• Under Your family, select your family member, then select Allow
• Have your family member sign in with their Microsoft account if asked to

And the steps don't apply. The account is already allowed, and there is no option to change that.

Now what???

 

Unable to add another family member on the system

Wrong "adult" email address used in family setup

Hi,

Try the steps below.

• Sign into http://familysafety.microsoft.com with that Microsoft account.
  
• Click the Manage my family link at the bottom of the summary page.
• Select the affected user under Family Members and click
  Remove family member at the top left of the screen.
• At this point you should be able to add that family member to the correct (new) family.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to create a new email address for your son and add to the family account and check.
