    Windows 11 system information says version 22H2 not 23H2


    I have been having trouble with the latest Cumulative Updates and had to uninstall update KB5033375 after File Explorer would not open. I have temporarily paused Windows Updates because this is the second time in the last couple of months that an update has "broken" File Explorer. The last time was mid-November 2023; the culprit was KB5032190. Removing the update fixed it then and removing KB5033375 has fixed File Explorer now. The latest Security Updaet KB5031354 was installed today, 12/24/23, when I restarted my computer after uninstalling KB5033375.After uninstalling I noticed that System I

    Hey Friends, this is Gavin Mathos here & currently using Windows 11, Version: 22H2 OS.

    I am eagerly waiting for launch & testing the upcomming "Windows 11, Version: 23H2" OS. What are the new feature you will see in the upcomming "Windows 11, Version: 23H2" OS.

    Any information as to when Microsoft has planned to release the new Windows 11, Version: 23H2" OS.

    Cannot install Windows 11 23H2

    The build number 22631.2506 implies the device has been upgraded to 23H2 already.

    Here are the version/build numbers for Windows 11.

    • 22000.xxx is 21H2
    • 22621.xxx is 22H2
    • 22631.xxx is 23H2
    Your system is fully up-to-date. What else you're looking for?

    2023-12 cumulative update for windows 11 version 22h2 for x64-based systems (kb5033375) install error - 0x800f0991 fail

    Good morning David.

    I've tried all the steps that you suggested that I do, but still no positive results. I even initiated to create the CBS.log (attached). After restarting, it still continued to fail. Now it has an error of 0X800F0991. Windows update also is listing a download for a 23H2, which is NOT my system. I have a 22H2. So needless to say, this has become very frustrating to say the least.
