    Hello,I'm hoping someone can help because I'm stumped.I recently did a system restore on Windows 11, and after the restore I couldn't connect to the internet. I at first thought it was my browser Opera, but tried Edge and had no success there, either. I've messed with Firewall settings reset them, added Opera as an exception, etc., messed with Network settings reset them as well, updated network adapter drivers ... I can connect and function just fine with Firewall off, but when it's on I simply cannot connect to the internet.The "troubleshooter" that everyone is so high on from Google

    Best free AV and firewall

    Can Windows Firewall block outgoing connections yet? If not, it's one step above useless.

    Look into Online Armor for a free firewall.

    Windows XP PRO error after restore

    System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.

    Windows Firewall wont work anymore = no online gaming

    Not related to this issue...

    The issue is the service is not starting, most likely it is not starting because it is disabled for one reason or another in the system services list.

    Windows and other Firewall software, runs independently from your internet options or network connections. Norton itself will look to see if you have a firewall installed or setup, if you don't it will try to sell your its own. *Smile Windows 11 System Restore - Can No Longer Connect to Internet Unless Windows Firewall... :)
