Windows 10: Windows 11 Tablet Mode on Desktop with touchscreen

Hello!I have a kitchen workstation PC that does not have a connected keyboard or mouse. I used to have Windows 10 on it and it had the convenient feature of turning on "Tablet Mode" in the system tray. I tried Windows 11, but that doesn't seem to be available anymore. I read that Windows 11 detects the touchscreen automatically, but it isn't in tablet mode for me. I have an Asus VT229H touchscreen monitor. How can I get tablet mode working in Windows 11?

Tablet mode in window 11

I installed Windows 11 on my Lenovo Yoga 730 laptop. The tablet mode will not work at all anymore. The touchscreen does not work anymore. I tried all the recommendations to run Update and checked the Device Manager. It says the HDI Compliant Touchscreen is installed and working properly, but it does not work. I would not have installed 11 if I knew I would not be able to use tablet mode or the touchscreen anymore.

  Did the issue started after installing any Particular Windows Update? If yes, please provide the KB number of the Windows Update?
  

To find the KB number of the Windows update
please follow the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows + I key.
  
• 
  From the window select Update & Security.
  
• 
  Click on Windows Update.
  
• 
  Click on Advanced Options.
  
• 
  Click View your update history.
  

I would suggest you to try changing the mode and check if it helps.

Please follow the steps below to change the mode:

• 
  On the bottom right of the task bar click on
  open Notification Center.
  
• 
  From the notification menu, if Tablet mode is highlighted click on the
  Tablet mode.
  
• 
  This will help it to get back to Desktop mode.

Tablet Mode doesn't automatically turn on

Hi Roice,

We suggest you to follow the below steps to make the tablet mode permanent:

• Click start and select settings.
• Select settings and then select tablet mode.
• Now you have different options to choose from, please choose settings that suits you.
