Windows 10: Windows 11 Task Bar - Inability to Display Files Separately

Hi, I have a windows 11 taskbar-view question.A function in windows 10 that I leveraged was the ability to display files and windows within an app on the taskbar. i.e., if I had a couple of Excel and/or PowerPoint files open, and with multiple windows open in each, I had it set up so they would show individually on the taskbar in Win10. In Windows 11, they collapse - is there a way to display files/window separately on the taskbar in windows 11? If not, will MSoft consider bringing back this useful function?I believe there is 3rd party SW to do so; however, I am reticent to install any SW tha

Windows 10 Defender - How to make it default to task bar?

Using Windows 10 and currently I am using Defender for anti virus. For whatever reason Windows Defender does not show up in the task bar unless I search for the program or right click and scan a file/folder. Is there a way to force Defender to show up in the task bar at start up?

 

how to successfully pin files to the task bar

I use to be able to drag and drop files onto the task bar and they would reside withing the file list for that program. Since the recent upgrade it appears that I am not able to pin a file to the program on the task bar. Suggestions?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."
