Windows 10: Windows 11 Task Bar - what is the road map for this ?

Hi everyone, seems like the windows 11 Taskbar is removing functionality - is there a roadmap for features and will we be getting back? small icons moderesizable taskbaranalogue clocksAs you can see my taskbar is full and then i get the three circles for the extra icons i need its just not user friendly at all ?Are improvements scheduled to make this usable again ?

From the description provided, I understand that the Map App in Windows 10 is not working properly.

Follow the below suggested methods and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Method 1

Follow these steps to run the Windows in built troubleshooter:

a) Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.

b) Click on Troubleshooting
tab.

c) Click on view all option on the upper left corner.

d) Select the Windows Store apps option from the list.

e) Click Next to run the Troubleshooter.

Method 2

• If the cache (locally downloaded and stored files) is empty, as in first use, or corrupted, Maps may not display the streets and roads correctly.
• If new (empty cache), it may take a minute or more for a download to fetch the map data.

In this case, if the cache is corrupted, you may get gaps in the display or Aerial maps not displaying.

Use Settings > System > Offline Maps to select your region, download the maps, set update options and check if it helps.

Method 3

If the above still does not help, I suggest you to follow the below steps which will help you to uninstall the native Map App in Windows 10.

• 
  Press Windows key and type Powershell
  in search, right click on it and Open as administrator.
  
• 
  Type the following command in Powershell and hit enter:
  
  get-appxpackage *Microsoft.WindowsMaps* | remove-appxpackage

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

Hi,

I understand your concern and will be happy to assist you.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

No roads in roads view shown - Surface Pro 4 / Win10 / Maps app

There was a offline maps update on 11/19/15 but had no effect on showing any roads in roads view. The map shows the road name text and highway markers and exit markers, but no graphical representation of the roads themselves. Anyone else having this
problem?
