  2. Start button disappears from taskbar.

    @Marvin Bar,

    Hi,

    I previously tried all of those suggestions listed in your link without any success. I retried them again and this time the start button did not disappear. To further find out if the problem was solved, I put my computer to sleep overnight instead of turning
    it off. When I woke it up this morning, the start button was still there, and five hours later, it's still there, so I think the problem is solved. Thanks for your reply.

  3. Start button disappears from taskbar.

    Start button is on the taskbar when computer is first turned on, but disappears after about 20-30 minutes. The only way to access the Start Menu is via the keyboard. I've tried all of the troubleshooting solutions, but nothing brings the Start button back
    except a reboot.

    Windows 10 taskbar and start button not working

    An in-place upgrade (repair) will not delete your user installed apps. Using the ISO, mount it (open with explorer), run Setup.exe as Administrator. When you get to this screen, make sure the top option is dotted.
