Windows 10: Windows 11 taskbar refreshing after changine volume.

Windows OS ver: 10.0.22533 Build 22533My taskbar keeps on refreshing every time I try to change my volume and it has been happening for about a week. I have run sfc /scannowandDISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /ScanhealthDISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealthin command prompt then restarted my PC and also restarted explorer.exe but it still continues. What else do I do?

The requirement of pinning Volume mixer to the taskbar is currently not available in Windows 10. However, you can view Volume mixer from the volume control icon located in the system tray.

  Are you not able to see volume icon or the volume mixer on the computer?
  
• 
  If volume icon, have you enabled the option to show in the system tray?
  

If you want to view Volume mixer on the PC and have enabled volume icon on the system tray, follow the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

  Right click on the volume icon and select
  Open Volume Mixer from the context menu.
  
• 
  Check if the window is accessible on the computer.
  

Note: The option to pin Volume mixer to the taskbar is not currently available on the computer.

Volume icon wont open

Hi,

Corrupted system files and Windows update components may trigger issues in opening the
volume icon on your taskbar. For us to rectify your issue, follow these steps:

• Press Windows key + I.
• Click Personalization.
• Choose Taskbar.
• Under the Notification area, click on Turn system icons on or off.
• Toggle off the Volume option.
• Restart your computer.
• Perform steps 1-5, then toggle on the Volume option.

Verify if you will be able to launch the volume icon on your taskbar after performing the procedures above. This will refresh the default settings enabled on your taskbar.
