Windows 10: windows 11 taskbar - show files separately

why is it still not possible to show files separately? A post dated Aug 2023 said Microsoft were looking at this - what has happened??

WINDOWS 11 - Doesn't show my calendar on TaskBar

Windows 11 Task Bar - Inability to Display Files Separately

Hi, I have a windows 11 taskbar-view question.

A function in windows 10 that I leveraged was the ability to display files and windows within an app on the taskbar. i.e., if I had a couple of Excel and/or PowerPoint files open, and with multiple windows open in each, I had it set up so they would show individually on the taskbar in Win10. In Windows 11, they collapse - is there a way to display files/window separately on the taskbar in windows 11? If not, will MSoft consider bringing back this useful function?

I believe there is 3rd party SW to do so; however, I am reticent to install any SW that does not come via windows or my company's app store.

We suggest that you check if the folder is hidden by following these steps:

• In the search box on the taskbar, type folder, and then select
  Show hidden files and folders from the search results.
• Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then select
  OK.
