Windows 10: Windows 11 Taskbar too large

Hello.My machine recently updated overnight to a newer ilk of Windows 11. I am a longtime windows user and I struggle with eyesight - the majority of my time is spend in the main interface and I have a very modest screen size for my office usage.The revised Task bar is MASSIVE compared to what I require and takes away valuable space from my limited window where I spend 99.9% of time in programs - alas, a hidden taskbar doesnt suit my requirements either.I appears in this new version of windows it is not possible to amend the taskbar size!? I have even attempted a crude registry adjustment whic

Windows 11 taskbar icons not working

I appreciate your interest in Windows 11. I understand that Taskbar icons are not working after upgrading to Windows 11. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

1. What happens when you click on an icon on the Taskbar?
   
2. Do you receive any error message/code?
   
3. Does this issue occur with all the icons?
   

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to try re-registering the taskbar and see if that works. Kindly follow the steps mentioned below.

1. Press Windows + X keys together and click on Windows PowerShell (Admin)
   
2. Now type in the following command and hit Enter: Get-AppXPackage -User ([System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent().Name) *ShellExperienceHost* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
   
3. Restart the PC once the command is complete.
   

If the issue persists, you can try creating a new user account and then see if you are able to access the icons on the Taskbar.

WINDOWS 11 - Doesn't show my calendar on TaskBar

Windows 11 Taskbar Settings Missing

My new laptop came with a Windows 11 OS, but I'm unable to resize my Taskbar Icons; they're too large.

I also want to reduce the size of my taskbar itself, but that option is also not there.

The Taskbar Settings does NOT have a selection option to Resize them, as Microsoft and my vendor suggest.

It seems that these settings options are missing from the Windows Settings menu!

Is there another way to do this?
