Windows 10: Windows 11 taskbar top greyed out

For some reason, the top part of my taskbar has a different color compared to the rest of the taskbar. Furthermore, when the taskbar is set to automatically disappear, this top part of the taskbar is always visible. How can I remove this behaviour?See example in the two pictures below where I also have changed the color of the taskbar to make it easy to se. you have to look at the very bottom of the screen

I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

• Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
• In the search box, type Settings
  
• SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
• Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
  "(Recommended)”.

Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

• Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
• If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
  
• If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.

The first thing I tried to do was move the taskbar to the top. No go. Found out if the registry is changed (as suggested as a work around) it can cause other issues with W11, so I didn't do it.

I have had the taskbar at the top for years and having it at the bottom is "messy" and I hate it.

Come on Microsoft...fix this so we can have the taskbar where WE want it, not where Microsoft thinks it should be!!
