Windows 10: Windows 11 time in system tray is wrong. Auto/manual time zone settings do not work. Bug...

I have a desktop with Windows 11 Pro x64. I have 24H2 version installed. The time zone setting is set to automatic. I am from Houston, TX. It should show the Central Time zone. However, the automatic time zone is picked as Arizona, which is 1 hr behind Houston time.I try to change the time zone setting to manual, and try to override the Arizona time setting to Central time, The time however still does not change in the system tray.When I change the time zone setting to automatic, I have a message that pops up close to the time display in the system tray saying that the automatic time z

"Set time zone automatically" sets to the wrong time zone, and swaps throughout the day

I did these steps and upon turning on "set time zone automatically" it still sets the wrong time zone.

 

There is no Indian time zone in the time zone list of windows 11

So i just updated windows 10 home to windows 11 home and i noticed that the time was wrong so i went adjust date and time and the time zone was set to seoul then i tried changing the time zone to India but there was no India in the list can anyone help me get the Indian time zone.

Turn the auto detect time zone OFF. Manually set the correct time zone, then turn the auto detect time zones back ON.

I had the same issue... and that cured it.


/edit I know it doesn't make intuitive sense, but it works.
